River Boats

One of the nicest ways to travel around the area is on the passenger ferries which operate on the river. They visit Kew Gardens, Richmond, Kingston and Hampton Court Palace. You can also go the other direction along the river into Central London to Westminster Pier right by the Houses of Parliament.

Traveling by boat on the Thames is a unique pleasure, interesting and relaxing at the same time and providing a very different view. But you do need to plan your journey and leave sufficient time. Westminster to Kew Gardens takes 1.5 hours as does the journey from Richmond to Hampton Court. You can of course always go on the boat and return via bus or train or vice versa.

From April to mid-September Turk Launches operate a scheduled, licensed passenger boat service between Richmond, Kingston and Hampton Court.
