Petersham Village Lock-Up

The white-boarded, slate roofed building beside the arch which now leads into the new Forge Lane houses is the original village watchman’s hut and was erected in 1787.

As you walk along the Petersham Road between the gardens take time to visit this interesting little building. An information board will give you its history. It is located next to The Fox and Duck Public House
